Each Endos Cap contains :
Fungal Diastase (1: 1200) - 50mg.
Pepsin (1: 3000) - 10mg.
Sodium Tauroglycocholate - 60mg.
Dioctyl Sodium Sulphosuccinate 100mg
Sodium Tauroglycocholate is the Bile Salt. Bile is produced in liver and stored in Gall blader and from Gall blader it comes to duodenum through common Bile duct.
Bile is mainly constituted of (a) Bile acid (b) Bile salt (c) Bile pigments.
Sodium Taurocholate, Sodium Glycocholate are Bile Salt. These are Sodium Salt of Taurocholic acid & Glycocholic acid respectively.
Cholic acid (Bile acid) is administrated with Taurine & Glycine hence Taurocholic Acid and Glycocholic Acids are formed. Glycine is a simple amino acid, which is synthesized in the body, and Taurine is derived from sulphur containing amino acid cysteine. Now this taurocholic or Glycocholic acid forms salts with Sodium or Potassium.
Sodium Tauroglychocolate is a complex of sodium taurocholate and sodium Glycocholate and hence is called double bile salt.
The role of Dioctyl Sodium Sulphosuccinate
Dioctyl Sodium Sulphosuccinate is hydrophilic in nature. In intestine it retains water in faces by its emulsifying property and thereby keep the stood soft for easy evacuation.
Endos Cap is an enzyme preparation with bowel regulator, fungal diastase and pepsin have the enzymatic action to take care carbohydrate & protein indigestion, sodium-tauroglycocholate helps in fat digestion and pushes the food down ward by increasing the peristalsis and D.O.S.S. helps to keep the stool soft for easy evacuation.
Indigestion, irregular bowel movement. When a patient is bedridden for a period, his Enzymatic process become disturbed which may lead to indigestion and irregular bowel movement. For such cases Endos can be prescribed. Especially after abdominal surgery, straining while evacuation should be avoided. Hypertensive patients and asthamatic patients should also avoid straining while evacuation because strain may lead to other complications. For such patients, endos can be prescribed which takes care of indigestion and provides strain free easy evacuation.
